For years we’ve been told that coffee is unhealthy for us due to the caffeine content. Not so anymore says a new study.
Researchers in Japan fed either coffee or water to mice. The mice that consume coffee had lower levels of high blood sugar and improved insulin sensitivity. This is important because if you are on a six pack diet or bodybuilding contest diet then you want improved insulin sensitivity. It will help you lose fat and get six pack abs.
Coffee also caused reduced levels of fatty liver damage and inflammatory markers as well. Talk about a nice bonus.
The researchers concluded that “one of the most effective anti-diabetic compounds in coffee.”
