Everyone lives with inflammation, there’s nothing that we can do about it. We don’t need to take prescription drugs though, we can reduce inflammation naturally.
Statin drugs come with dangerous side effects, statin drugs lower CoQ10 and they have been linked to heart failure as well. Here’s five ways to reduce inflammation without taking statin drugs:
Quit smoking. Smoking hardens the arteries and increases inflammation. Research shows you can reverse all the damaging effects to your arteries within 10 years of quitting. Don’t do it all at once though, I know everyone thinks that they need to quit right away but take it slow.
Eat more nuts, fish and oils. Foods rich in omega-3’s like nuts, fish and olive oil have shown beneficial effects on lowering inflammation in the body. These should be a every day supplement.
Exercise at least four times per week. Exercise by itself can lower inflammation and reduce stress, aim for four 60 minute workout sessions per week.
Lose fat. If you burn fat you’ll have a reduce rate of inflammation. Inflammation likes bodyfat so you must take every step possible to reduce it.
Sleep more. A new study shows that elderly people with high blood pressure who sleep less than 7.5 hours a night have dramatically elevated chances of having a stroke or heart attack. Fight to get at least seven hours of quality sleep per night.
