So Jim Joyce just blew Armand Galarraga’s perfect game big then felt hs needed to apologize.
How’s that for some B.S.? You apologize after the fact? And Galarraga, whom I feel very bad for didn’t stand up for himself.
He shook his head after the blown call then went back to mound to get the final out. He should have been in Joyce’s face.
Armando Galarraga didn’t even make the Detriot Tigers opening day roster, he’s not a star pitcher. He’s someone that’s going to have a decent career, I hope, but he may never get that close to perfection again. No one has thrown a perfect game or a near perfect game more than once.
So Galarraga is slightly here to blame too. His reaction, while everyone is calling it classy, fell short of what it could have been.
I would of been thrown out…
I wouldn’t have said “oh well he feels bad” like Galarraga did post game, I would have called him out.
The camera’s on you right now kid, make the most of it!
As far as Jim Joyce, you’re pathetic. You knew exactly what you were doing when you made the call.
It was a “gimme” call. 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th of a near perfect game? The runner should of automatically been out as soon as the ball got hit. You did it to get yourself on tv, let’s be honest.
Jim Joyce, you need to retire.
