Tasty stuff. A suggestion, substitute powered peanut butter and save the calories without the fat

Mark July 17, 2009 at 3:28 am

Sorry that should be powdered peanut butter

Hey Jimmy

I think you have a proportion issue with your Berries Are Us recipe….4 cups of frozen berries to 12 oz water? A half cup seems more appropriate, plus I’d add a little more yogurt than a scoop…..what are you calling a scoop?

I use the precision engineered shaker with the wire ball inside when I\’m on the go. All stores ave little containers of milk if you like, I just mix with water when I\’m ready.
i do a bit of driving for work and realized I was spending a fortune on bottled water, then I started refilling these bottles but had way too many bottles to be dealing with for the day. I bought a gallon of water for .99 cents, A. its is a smoking deal compared to smaller bottles of water and I only have on container of water per day to deal with.

They are DELISH! I’ll keep that in mind and get some more female stuff up.

Do you like those bottles? Something about the wire ball freaks me out.

@Frank,
Correction, it is suppose to be 2 cups of frozen berries and the yogurt is suppose to be 1 cup. Thanks

Powdered peanut butter? Never tried it, how does it taste?

Stacey July 17, 2009 at 7:31 pm

Thanks. My last smoothie was 8oz milk, 1/2 mango, banana, 1/3 cup blueberries, TBS of Greens mix, scoope of vanilla whey protein, and TBS of peanutbutter. I use the magic bullet… love the ease of use and easy clean up. Drink on way to work.

@Stacey,
I love throwing the greens mix in with some fruit smoothies, it tastes amazing! Oh, and yes, the magic bullet does rock!

Jimmy, Love these ideas. I also like to add a scoop of low fat, no salt added cottage cheese and a big scoop of canned pumpkin to my smoothies. That way, you get some extra good protein and fiber.

Instead of protein powder, use low fat ricotta cheese, which is mostly whey.
