On Monday I headed to the gym to perform one of my advanced bodybuilding programs. Let me tell you, these gains are killer and you’ll get them when you grab The Physique Formula. The best part about it, I only did two exercises for my chest workout.
I mean think about this for a second. Most people tell you that you have to at least 3-5 chest exercises or else you’ll never grow. That’s one of the biggest lies ever!
I’m friends with some top models and natural bodybuilders and I can you the ones that do that amount of volume and get results are all genetic freaks. They’d get a big chest by doing a push-ups here or there.
You remember Herschel Walker right? The running back for the Eagles who got jacked and shredded by doing 1000 push-ups and sit-ups every day. Well he was a freak of nature, that’s not some chest workout that’ll help anyone grow.
I mean I was the same way, I used to crush my chest with volume thinking that I was bringing some insane results and I did grow. But this killer workout has given me more strength and size results in a matter of weeks than the other did in years.
More isn’t always better. If you have 3-5 exercises that you know you have to do then wouldn’t you subconsciously hold some “stuff” back during the first few sets in order to get through the entire workout? I know I would.
So here’s my killer chest workout and why it worked.
Exercise 1: Incline Smith Machine Chest Press: 2 sets of 12 reps, 1 set of 20 reps (done rest-pause style)
Exercise 3: Dips: 1 set of 12 reps, 1 set of 16 reps (done rest-pause style)
Now I did a few other non-chest upper body exercises during that routine but those two exercises, the dips hitting my triceps and a little chest, were amazing.
It’s all about rest-pause training and not killing your chest set after set. What gives you more gains? Lifting 185 for 3 sets of 12 or 225 for one, all out set, of 12 reps?
Try both then email me in a few weeks.
