Wake Up Earlier: Lose More Fat

I know it’s easier to hit the snooze button. I know that it’s so painful to wake up earlier, especially in winter but it’s worth it. Once you start waking up earlier, you’ll love the benefits, especially the fat loss ones.

1. You’ll eat better

Waking up late is the number one reason why people skip breakfast or eat a bad breakfast. If you wake up early, you’ll be able to eat a better breakfast. Eating a healthy breakfast will set the trend for eating for the rest of the day. You’ll also have time to plan the rest of your meals. While I advocate doing it on Sundays, if you wake up early you’ll have a good day of eating planned.

2. You’ll have better workouts.

When you wake up early you have more energy and more motivation to get to the gym and hit it hard. No one enjoys going to the gym after a long day of work. My only recommendation is to wait 45-60 minutes after waking to do squats or deadlifts. Your spine hydrates at night, which makes it easier to get hurt during those movements.

3. You’ll be more productive.

This goes for anything in life but waking up early just allows you to get more done. You have less distractions and more focus on your goals to start the day.

4. Better Sleep

Varying your sleep patterns is the worst way to recover and grow. Most people do this on a nightly basis and wonder why they don’t recover from their workout. Going to bed and waking up at the same time is a great way to energize yourself and recover.
