I recently sat down with Mel Warrington, a figure competitor just days away from an important contest to get inside her head to see what she’s thinking.
Heavy metal poisoning, it’s the latest thing that you’re starting to hear about in natural and holistic circles. While the majority of the fitness industry would laugh at such as statement since the egg heads can’t read research all day, it clearly exists in various forms.
I hear this argument alot. Which protein is better for women? Which protein is better for men? Whey protein or soy protein? The soy advocates don’t really have any ammo to throw at people that say that “whey is better”. If they have read a few articles they may point to the few studies that show that soy has positive effects but they’ll never bring up the negatives of soy for men and women.

How do I lose fat? The voice that said that was ringing in my ear. It repeated “how do I lose fat, I want to know how to lose fat”? I couldn’t stand it anymore so I turned around and saw this 30 year old guy staning behind me in the gym. Normally I wouldn’t be too happy about my workout getting interrupted by someone. As a matter of fact I’m in the gym to lose fat to so let me work out. Something was different about that day though. I decided to give this guy some information to help him with his fat loss diet and workout. Here’s what I told him

A quick five minute search on any popular bodybuilding message board will find various threads and topics dedicate to bodybuilding contest diets and how to design them. After all, physique training is, by nature, an extreme sport. There is a bunch of conflicting information available and at the end of the day, the reader is left with more questions then answers.

I’ve noticed recently that a lot of people are coming to this site to find a figure model workout. It’s obvious to everyone that I’m not a figure model but what I can do is rely on years of experience and work with various figure model clients and tell you exactly how to design such a workout.

Artificial sweeteners, according to various media outlets, just might be the one thing that wipes us off of the face of the planet. While I wouldn’t go that far, I will say that there’s a strong relationship between artificial sweeteners and stomach fat. Since most people that read this blog read it for physique guidance and want to minimize bodyfat and increase muscle mass, I think it’s important to zero in on artificial sweeteners and stomach fat.

About once a week I get approached by someone looking for beginner muscle building information. They’ve read the magazines and watched the videos online then they get into the gym to start building muscle. The problem is, they end up doing pro bodybuilding routines and overtraining quickly. When you workout at the same gym for a few months you make friend. I’m not telling you something you don’t know. So you get talking to people and you find out that they are reading all types of bodybuilding training guides and trying to find the best information possible to change their bodies. You ened up talking to one person then his workout buddy comes over then the guy doing crunches next to you start throwing stuff in and before you know it, you’ve got a group of people all talking about bodybuilding.

I want a ketogenic diet for weight loss or I want a ketogenic diet for bodybuilding. Those are usually two of the phrases that I hear when someone comes to me and is looking to start a ketogenic diet. They have read about them online and really want to try it since people claim they are the fastest ways to lose fat but are they?
